Synopsis
Jaded Dark Elf Miz’ri Niranath, who preys on humans to soothe her own deep ache, crosses paths with Talisa Magleby, a devout pilgrim traveling with the walking skeleton of her great-grandfather. Believing she can easily break the pious woman, Miz’ri manipulates Talisa into becoming her ‘Ste’kol’ (A toy in Teazalnan, Miz’ri’s native tongue) for the duration of the pilgrimage, hoping to corrupt the girl to prove her own inner emptiness.
What begins as a predatory game of control quickly unravels as the two women discover an unexpectedly hopeful connection that challenges their previous notion of duty, desire, and survival.
